Description:

This work was part of an outdoor exhibition on Ameland in the Kooiker Dunes. The assignment was to create a work of art for and in this beautiful dunes.

Shapes of a tree, were drawn on wooden construction material and were sawn.
The shapes fit a hollow construction and contain 300 carefully broken cups. Eight wooden components are hooked in a round hollow stem.

The work is an interweaving of different concepts and stories. One is an artificial tree with broken cups and from the catalog of a hardware store with strange foreign products.

Therefrom are the drawn branches and roots sawn. Then, all components are hooked in a round hollow stem. Each branch ends in a little hook to which a total of 300 professionally broken cups are hanging.

In the project participated eight artists from Holland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany .
