Let’ Play! Your Playground is an infectious and inspiring utopian playground for visitors and makers throughout the Arti et Amicitiae building to emphasize the importance of play in society. YP opens during the Amsterdam Museumnacht and is an interdisciplinary festival with interactive art-installations, sculptures, performances, film, artist talks, guided tours and workshops. Main ingredients :  sensory experience, humor, audience participation, performance, interventionist installations.

– 6 nov:  Opening with performances, installations, film and music.
– 8 > 12 nov:  YP exhibition throughout the building.
– 10 nov:  Artist talks > Maarten Bel and Penny key and a guided tour by the curators.
– 11 nov:  ‘Drawing Under Influence’. Crazy model drawing workshop with MC Willum Geerts.
– 10 > 12 nov: Guided tour and workshop for students of the Rietveld Academie, Artez Arnhem and Breitner Academie.
– 12 nov : Mini-Museumnacht with extra performances and a festive closing.

Your Playground: een utopische speeltuin voor volwassenen
Interdisciplinair speelterrein voor bezoeker en maker met interactieve kunst, performances, film, artist talks, rondleidingen en workshops door het hele gebouw van Arti et Amicitiae, met een ode aan het spelen. Let’s Play

Arti wordt getransformeerd tot een aanstekelijke en inspirerende utopische speeltuin door het gehele gebouw waarmee we aandacht willen vragen voor het sociale belang van het spelen in de maatschappij. De belangrijkste ingrediënten zijn: zintuiglijkheid, performativiteit, participatie, inventiviteit en humor.

Met deze kunstmanifestatie spreken we de speelsheid en creativiteit aan die ieder mens van nature heeft. Alle activiteiten binnen onze menselijke cultuur komen voort uit spelen, maar het spelen zelf lijkt vergeten te worden! Ontdekken, experiment, fantasie, fictie, improvisatie, innovatie, risico, humor, serendipiteit, muziek, taal, beeldende kunst en performance: ‘spelen als voedsel voor de geest’. In deze manifestatie staat de behoefte aan spel en verbinding centraal.

Deze manifestatie is niet een illustratie van het spelen, maar ademt en belichaamt het spelen zelf!
